And Lurker, I will say, as a former denizen of the best surf spot south of mavericks, yes, many surfers act stupid-it's because they're stoned out of their gourds most of the time.

I don't think he would do this, though. He has seen sharks while surfing where he lives in Monterey, but they're not very interested in people.
