As much as I love living in San Francisco, I still miss Alaska. I remember during my first year here, I used to sit at my window marveling at just how many people were crammed into such a small space (Alaska: 571,951 sq mi. and 670,000 people; San Francisco: 49 sq. mi. and 751,682 people).
Even Arkansas provided enough open space so that you could step out on your back porch and take a leak without offending anyone.
I am continually torn between what I love most about both places; I doubt I'll ever find a happy medium.

Africans outnumbered Europeans in the period when Mexico was under the control of Spain. Their descendants have been more or less absorbed into the slimy underclass that oozes across the border into America. See here and here
