The Clash were barely legit from the git-go. They really sucked by the time "Know Your Rights" came out.
I had a hard time listening to those fucks slamming Americans for Amer-Aisian babies in "Straight to Hell" (also seeing one of the cheerleaders from my old high school with a copy of Combat Rock)
Joe Strummers' dad was a diplomat in Turkey, I'm sure he fathered a few bastards in his career, like many of his colleagues... I will say, they put on a good show, even though Topper was well into his heroin addiction when I saw them...
