Because they "fear for their lives".
Fuck that, don't be a cop if you ain't got no grit. Bravery should be a mandatory trait for that job.

The only thing more dangerous than a "scared" cop is a swarm of cops responding to a call from a scared cop.
And if the Boulder force does push him out, he will just be back on the force in some other town 20 minutes down the road by the end of the week.

Well it gentled him down some. Doubt he will be causing the cops much gruff anymore. They probably were looking at a decade of nuisance calls till he was hauled out of there, given the state of mental health care in Maine. So yeah, probably was worth it

Nah, I'm gonna stick with you deliver him roast turkey to eat until he's all nappy and then just walk in like you own the place. It's an old dude, feed him 'til he slumbers, just ask your granny...

Think they're missing Uncle Ferdinand at this point? After all, he only had "authorities" rub out political rivals, not a cross-section of poor folks. I was "in country" when Aquino was shot on the tarmac...of the airport now bearing his name...and the subsequent revolution. Departed several months before Pinatubo blew. I used to cycle up the backside where Royal Dutch Shell operated a geothermal plant. Can imagine gauges pegging and relief valves spewing on that fateful day. Interesting times 4 sure.

No longer, like most of the rest of America the non hispanic whites are 59%. And our cousins from south of the border are twice as populace as the blacks.

I'd have to dig into the database to pull out the last time he visited.

The war's been over for decades. Anyone still fighting it are like the isolated Japanese soldiers hiding in caves after WWII.

The More You Resist, The More It Persist, or some shit like that.
The rampant meth and opiate mess will never be cleaned up until the underlying social breeding ground for this is cleaned up. I am not holding my breath.

It's a little like "the mass shooting mess will not be resolved until we take care of the mental health problem."
The human condition is. . . . susceptible.

Not a supporter of the NRA, but this about poor training, and over militarization of the PoPo's. As an example, I had a cop put a gun to the back of my head when I was 13 years old for playing the fool on a Hot August Friday night in Denver as he was pushing my face down on a hot hood of his cop car. This shit has more to do with the lack of accountability/above the law bs that most cops dwell in.
