Racist white people didn’t make this video to shame blacks; it is blacks showing non-blacks who they are and how they wish to be seen. Keep that in mind the next time you think I have fucked up views about blacks.

I knew who made it. It was sent to me by one of my friends who lives in a compound up in the Cascades.
Down Boy, Down! Just a title to alert the Hoi Polloi!

Dropped their guns and ran . . . .
That's what they did when the Jarheads rolled up during the L.A. riots.
I didn't see nothing but assholes and elbows when 1st battalion dismounted.
Easy to be tough in your backyard with a video cam.

....after generation after generation of socioeconomic repression.
Reverse the roles and tell me the descendants of white slaves taken to Africa would be behaving differently.
*edited to remove unintentional double negative. I get awfully southern when drunk.*

Many Whites in America are the descendants of slaves. They seem to have turned out OK in spite of their ancestors’ misfortunes.

I'll have to side with Fnord on this one, slavery was a fact of life for all races for eons.
Raid a village, kill the men - take the women and children as slaves. That's how it worked then and still works in many cultures now.
and please don't forget - the whiteman didn't capture slaves, he merely bought them from the the black slave traders. (did you ever stop to wonder why we didn't turn the native american indians into slaves on a large scale?)
****edit: I guess I should have watch the clip before I posted***

Serfs, indentured servants, slaves, all the same thing.
Niggaz need to take responsibility for themselves. I for one, am sick and fucking tired of this shit. I also happen to know a lot of black (African American is such a phony-ass term) americans that feel the same way. They need to read (HAHAHAHA) "The Fire Next Time" by James Baldwin.
We have all been oppressed at some time or other in our lives. I think that the dumb-asses in the video don't have a clue about any other living soul. I couldn't watch it, I see too much of that stupid shit in my neighborhood on a daily basis. Minus the firearms, but with the same fucked-up mindset.
Oh, and just wait 'til they bring them home from Iraq, trained in paramilitary procedure. Whoops, there it is....

I blame a lot of it on the mind numbing hip hop culture giving a group of impressionable young men and women a pipe dream..... One night not too long ago Dirckman devised an experiment during a hip hop countdown on MTV.... Dirckman made a chart with a space to list the name and artist of the song on the vertical column and on the horizontal fields listed different aspects common to hip hop videos...... Listed were "Gawdy watch" "Flashy car" "Da club" "Display of cash" "Booty shaking bitches and ho's" "Improper use of the English language" "Video 'featuring' another hip hop artist" "Contact with law enforcement" along with others....... When a video would start Dirckman would list artist and song then as the video progressed would place a checkmark in the proper column and row as the hip hop criteria had been met...... Dirckman then watched a three hour marathon of hip hop videos and at the end of the night was rather amazed at the formulaic nature of hip hop seeing as his entire chart had almost been filled by check marks...... Dirckman also felt pity and even a little embarrassment for these poor people for producing pathetic art and just plain acting like bufoons..... Dirckman is saddened when looking at pop charts and seeing this low quality crap dominating the charts..........

The reason why you're a racist piece of shit isn't because there are no ghetto-ass black people with AK-47s that think it's cool to worship criminal culture. It's because you've convinced yourself that you're inherently better than them by nature of your birth, and that this video and your news stories somehow show that this is something black people have in common.

Hmmm, the whiteman didn't capture slaves you say. He just came to the new world to spread rainbows and unicorns throughout the land.
I suppose some Spainards might be offended at not being considered white men by the likes of you. Heck, just go ahead and ignore their 400 year history of new world native labor relations that provided the bling to create the modern western world as we know it. Through the foisting of the slave practice of encomienda on the natives we got the material wealth for the rise of capitalism over feudalism which begat the Enlightenment and the Industrial Revolution.
Shucks, even the English interlopers who arrived rather late to the party by 100 years initially made determined use of the natives as slave material. Unfortunately their management style didn't provide sufficient motivation. So they had to outsource their labor needs when productivity plumented because the local labor pool kept calling in sick or skipping work altogether complaining of long hours.
Funny you should bring it up today as in Dhal's post about the new candyman, the shamman claims to be decended from Columbus's own slaves, the Tainos. Kind of an odd claim that caught my eye. Further along he goes on to prosletyze:
...All this heavy-duty mysticism is more than a little incongruous amid the nouveau wealth of Encinitas. But he deflects any suggestion that by “doctoring” the wealthy he’s neglecting the needy.
“We live in different times than our predecessors,” Truenos says. “There has been a promise throughout every culture that there would be a moment in humanity’s history where we would have social and economic justice. One of the things the fire altar states is that this day that has been promised has arrived, and so with it all of the various hallmarks are sure to be emerging in humanity. This includes a spiritual solution to humanity’s economic problems so there isn’t a disparity between the poor and the wealthy.”
...Truenos mentions a recent private ayahuasca session in which a participant experienced “a trust crisis,” refusing to believe Truenos could heal him. Mother Ayahuasca admonished the man for such self-delusion, leaving him writhing on the floor, wracked with emotion.
Despite this harrowing episode, Truenos believes ayahuasca’s dark reputation is exaggerated. It is transformative and healing, he says, a cure for the “cancer of indifference,” a remedy for our “failures in integrity.” But it’s even more than that. “Some people,” he says, “need to be frightened by the way they live their lives.”
Not quite as good a gig as getting 10s of millions in credit to hire lobbiests to change the laws to allow you to build casinos throughout the land, but hey if you can leave em writhing in Encinitas he should do pretty well for himself.
