I've said this before, as recently early this week, but I face a world class cluster fuck here over the next few days: bulls-eye for a long duration Nor’easter during the highest tides of the month, more than a foot above average.
This means a punishing storm surge, high waves lasting through three high tide cycles and almost certain flooding. I'm backing up tonight, and will store what I can but who the fuck knows. You don't hear from me for a while, you'll know why.

Yeah, we just postponed Melon's B-day celebration planned for tomorrow. Senseless to have the kids trying to drive across the state in weather like that.
Of course because we changed our plans means it will probably just drizzle a bit and clear right up...

That's all fine and dandy, lived that for decades. But when April rolls around it's really special here - it's worth every bit of winter and then some.
But what I love about your weather is all of our idiots move there, we have a lower percentage of freaks/losers/trumps than you do.

Choad,
I have a spare room and an ounce of blow.
I will leave the light on for you.

The original High Street and all to follow were so named because they were above flood stage, or so their property speculators assured their punters.

An ounce of blow? Jesus; now I'm tempted.
Did I mention I make a killer pizza?

We can make a party of it. There is a titty bar no too far away and I am pretty tight with a couple of the ladies.
We probably won't need the pizza, I have an ounce of blow.

A power pole up my street snapped off like a matchstick, leaving wires lying across the road. The wind was impressive yesterday. I have to go for a hike to find a cell signal. I'm anxious to hear from our New Englanders. I assume they got hit hard.

Howdy boys & girls.
Power and basement sump are back but furnace and hot water heater are predictably fucked.
Seawall almost breached.
Below freezing here, I need a shower and I'm cranky.

Bigcat I do hope you were not holed up all weekend ranting at the pictures on the wall. Better to have shared the bygone half of that with the local talent at least. Remember, sharing is caring.

This was your year. We had a winter like that last year, but this year has been manageable with mostly just a sweater. We hit 72 a couple of days ago. There's a daffodil up in the yard.
You guys can't be far behind, no matter how ugly it appears right now.
