I bet the two gunmen were fags who'd refused to tell and had been hazed relentlessly for it.

Startlingly close, there, Emanuel-onovich. Dude was a millitary psychiatrist, early forties and a major, of Middle-Eastern origins. If that ain't so-oo gay, I don't know what is.

Wow, oldtimers thread.
I think we'll see more focus on the name and what it implies than on any sexual psychodrama.
This is going to get so much political spin it's sickening.

MSGlutamate-onovich, my powers of recall are truly great. But alas, no, I don't remember the origins of each and every one of the old Cruel gang. I know that OPS and RT are somewhere in the belly-flab of the nation, whilst I live up in the brain. I believe Rogers resided down the cock (Fla), and if I am not mistaken, Gray was from the large, floating turd. I am sure I can recall the others given, time. Oh, yes, that's right. One or two of the old denizens are from the "hairplugs" of the country, Mass and points that wax New-Englandical. You may refresh me or not, your pleasure.

btw, the guy's parents were born in Jordan, he has one brother that lives in Jerusalem, another in MD, and his brothers both describe him as a lifelong devout muslim.
I don't even know where to go with this. With a varying degree of friends of middle eastern descent, I hate to see the whole circus of finger pointing starting all over again because of one fucking nutjob who may or may not be related to broader terrorism.
Certainly, mass murder is a type of terrorism in of itself...

I think his religion is probably incidental on this one. He's been treating soldiers with PTSD for several years, so he knows that he's about to get rotated into hell on Earth. Shit, if it weren't for the fact that he'd volunteered (and then murdered a bunch of people), I'd almost feel sorry for him.
He should have done the honorable thing and booked it to Mexico.

Peter Boyle could play him as an American on the run and disguised as a Mexican. I see James Gandolfini, Brad Pitt and Julia Roberts reprising their roles (James' character is dead now, so he could play a cockfag ghost who haunts Hasan by buggering him in his sleep till he can't take it any more and turns himself in to Brad and Julia for extradition back to Fort Hood to face the firing squad, which to him is far preferable to getting butt-fucked by a fat poofter from the spirit world who looks just like Tony Soprano). The general who, in the end, gives the order to the firing squad, could be played by Ned Beatty, no stranger he to the celluloid butt-ream.
Damn, I still got it.

Ok, I am visualizing Billy Bob Thornton or James Carville. Of course, we'd need to fatten either of them up a bit for the role.
Since James probably has no acting skills, we could turn it into some sort of new age art flick where the lead character has no speaking role at all, and just occasionally wears a bucket on his head. We could use a lot of still photos like they did in that fifties version of Lord of the Flies, with Paul Begala and Tucker Carlson as fellow travelers who torment him all the way down to Chihuahua by pissing on him. The final momentous scenes are of James as Hasan in a thick fog and crawling in the sand to get away from his tormentors, only to bump into the booted foot of the General (again, Ned Beatty) who is carrying a riding crop. He, too, pisses on Hasan and they drag him off to the firing squad. To add dimension to the piece, we could show an HBO crew filming the whole execution sequence for PPView.
Man, MS-gonovich, you've got all my golden creative juices just FLOWING tonight. Hyuck.

Hmm, this seems like it could go either way. Apparently he had been constantly harassed by his fellow soldiers for being a devout Muslim, and had people scratch "Allah" into his car paint, etc. On the other hand, he had already been on the radar for making crazy statements about suicide bombers, etc.
You know, it's often been said that psychology/psychiatry students are easily spotted because they all have a major mental problem that they hope to solve.
Like I said, I could see this either way: angered Muslim tired of being picked on and feeling like Muslims were the enemy of the military, or total nutjob that finally snapped and decided that shooting people was his religious duty.

I honestly hate to see people being persecuted for their beliefs. It's such ashame that someone would get lumped in with the rest of the nutjobs. Part of me hopes he just went wack and it had nothing to do with religious persecution.

And the "someones" are idiots, too, for further fueling the idiot fire. It's come out, RT, that this asshole was crying out Allah is great or words to this effect jut prior to opening fire. At lest this is what I picked up while flipping twixt Fox and CNN. I don't even know where to go with this.
It's going to go two ways:
1. Muslin is the new nigger, and
2. Some asshat on the extreme right is going to try to pin this on Obama, like this.

I definitely get why muslims and middle easterners are getting the (mostly deserved) bad rap. Believe me.
It's just when you have a few good friends from Iran and Jordan that aren't these kind of people, it gets frustrating to see them being associated with such shit just by the general public because of their birthrights.
Clearly, this guy was a nutjob and 'terrorist'. If you're spending time on websites praising suicide bombers...well, whether you are associated with Al Quaida or not, you're a terrorist.
I hope he dies in the hospital. I think someone should 'accidentally' disconnect his ventilator.

Christ-onovich,
Here in NYC, other night, there were some Muslin gleeful demonstrator-cunts being interviewed. They appeared to be US-born rag-heads, too (at least I discerned no accent). There were a LOT of them and they were celebrating the slaughter in Texas. Because we are so-called a free country, the FBI can't stop their demonstrations.
What I found interesting is that these guys were being interviewed by local affiliates (and CNN picked up the story later as well). One rag-headed cunt in particular was stating in no uncertain terms that the Koran calls for ruthless and meaningless violent acts in order to maximize the terror --or words to this effect. And so even if your boy there had no political goals, political goals were nonetheless attained.
Having said that ....
ROGERTHAT I see you wrestling with this moral shit, too. I hear ya. I have some of the sweetest friends who already feel the heat as they did for the months following 9/11. A Jordanian family, too, who you'd trust with your life. I've known them for years. It's a problem. Let's just hope that those low-brow 'mericans who like to lash out at anything when this sort of shit happens can be kept under control.
