Brutal heat last time I blew through, but that's not my kind of climate. Ethnically mixed. Probably about the same native american population, so you got that going for you. Ignore me, weird night.

I was expecting the brutal heat and welcome it with open arms.  Rapid City has brutal summer heat too getting up to 109 degrees, which is not as hot as Lake Havasu, but at least down there it's dry and the heat is bearable.  I have been to Las Vegas at 118 degrees and fared just fine.  I did hear there was a meth problem down there as well which surprised me considering it is a retirement community with a relatively high median age.  The meth heads around here are invisible unless you choose to run in certain circles and I'm sure the same rule applies down there as well.  Thanks for the feedback!
