I wander over to Facebook to do the mandatory relative thing and I see that all of the interesting posts are going there now.
It's a sad fucking day when Facebook kills High-Street/Cruel; the world has truly moved on.
I'm very disappointed in all of you.

WTF is the High Street facebook ID? Quick, before I kill my account again.

I don't think there is one; just individuals' pages.

Killing it sounds like a good idea.

Would you like me to post photos of my flowerbeds here? Not sure they're Street-worthy, but if you're gonna get all butthurt, I can oblige.

The point of going to Facebook is that we are getting to know each other, not just the sick twisted aspects of our personalities and inner demons that get exaggerated when displayed here. Pictures of flower beds, food, children and other relatives aren't what High-Street is about. Do you really want me to tell you about my roses, morning glories, and plumeria in detail here? Would you like to know about my elderly lesbian next door neighbor who is about to be placed in a board and care home because her friends and neighbors can no longer provide enough help to enable her to stay in her own home. How about her very old dog that we found a new home for? I didn't think so!

Don't pop my bubble man! It took a long time for me to believe.
Facebook is way to soft and exposed for me. Plus my very first facebook experience, and I mean within the first 30 seconds, changed my life forever. So I have a visceral reaction whenever someone even mentions FB. Of course that story is too sorry for the likes of here. Something only really suitable to be published on the likes of facebook.

Not me, man. I save the good shit for here.
I haven't been active anywhere online this past week because I have a job now with a hella long commute. I have not deserted you...at least, I have not deserted you any more than I've deserted everything else in life. I have eleven fewer hours per day in which to hunt down good linkage, is all.

I am getting close to leaving it at this point: except I have reconnected with friends going back up to 40 years, and business. Find a decent alternative that won't shill my shit and I am there.

I code worth shit. As it is, I have so many irons in the fire right now, anymore would result in some more than usual instability. My (main) business is on oxygen right now, it might recover, or die a horrible death.

People I know use LinkedIn for business stuff. No idea if it ass-rapes your privacy, too.
