You frequently mention browser crashing. Which one are you using, which OS, and what kind of computer are you using with how much RAM and what kind of processor?

1.25 GHz PowerPC G4, 512 MD DDR SDRAM, Safari v3.2.1. I also have the Developer tab, so I can have it emulate nearly any browser I choose. It just didn't like that site. It also takes slightly longer to load sites that are trying to download or popup anything unpleasant.

You need more RAM. Firefox might give better performance, but the main problem is RAM.
