This is kind of tangential...

I got a tv that does digital stations the other day, so I've been watching the digitally broadcast religious channels.

First off, there's about six or seven of the damned things.

ANYway, all the preachers have that sinEWAve paTERN to tHEIr deLIVEry and I just cannot listen to it.  If I smoke the living shit out of myself first, I can actually sit and close my eyes and assemble their word patterns in my head, and I still have no idea what the fuck they're saying.  They put words together in a grammatically correct pattern, but they have no semantic meaning, and they use that singsong delivery to hypnotize your ass. 

Watching tv is bad for you.

Smoking doesn't help, drinking does. Their speech pattern is meant to drill through Sunday morning hangovers. You feel pain, so you feel guilty. Double duty.
