Since when is an interest in s&m a problem?
Straus analyzed the results of four studies and found that spanking and other corporal punishment by parents is associated with an increased probability of three sexual problems as a teen or adult:
* Verbally and physically coercing a dating partner to have sex.
* Risky sex such as premarital sex without a condom.
* Masochistic sex such as being aroused by being spanked when having sex.
...and if there's EVER been a relationship where one party didn't have to "verbally coerce" the other one into doing the nasty, then I'll eat my hat.

The take home message I get from this is that spanking your children will make them have lots of kinky sex without using birth control. This should result in more grandchildren, a huge win in Darwinian terms.
