Relax Scotty, and don't let your wishful thinking get the better of you. After action reports are often jumbled. As far as narratives go, this one is very, very positive for Obama, although I don't think the glow will last until election time (and probably not even close).

Not really wishful thinking, just anticipating the frothy bullshit foaming and whipping up from the Right if they ever find someone that could possibly put a dent in the oncoming train of four more years.

And now the bleeding hearts start to spew. Gosh, it seems we skipped a whole bunch of legal steps.Apparently, we should have served him with a warrant from an international court.

Maybe the al Zawahiri and other al Qaeda leaders could appear in court here to sue for damages.

They are absolutely correct. But that's all academic once the bullet hits the bone.

Do you have a complete list of cities not destroyed by phosphorus bombs? Well, do ya??? By the Canadians I mean, of course.

Funny, I read the blog before I read Em's comment and I choked on the same line. The guy is good wordsmith and you can't argue with his main point. But conflicts are like that, and human nature sets limits on how many times you can turn your cheek. Remember the old antiwar shibboleth, "What if they held a war and no one came?". Well, unfortunately, someone will always come, and they won't stop coming until you make a stand.

I don't do that intentionally, but you understand Human Nature as much as I do my friend; that is the way it works.
Let's start with the facts: neither us nor our allies stock or deploy Phosphorous "bombs".
Wait, fuck that, let's stay on topic.
Let's applaud the administrations timing of the announcement, said announcement not only bumped Trump but left the partisian wags (from both sides) practically zero time to spin this thing. We all were allowed to enjoy a full day of "Congrats" before the spins got going.

This photo has been getting a lot of play today...Curiously, I haven't seen any parodies yet.*
There really is something strangely compelling about this photo; these people actually seem to have been caught in a natural state rather than posing--how often do you see that with any public figure?
P.S. Anyone who's ever attended a work meeting knows how fucking hot it was in that little room.
*(No, that was not a challenge.)

I see Chevy Chase regularly as his daughter is in a center near my home. I can definitively say he is alive and kicking.

After viewing this photo from the raid carefully (and this is not shopped). I have figured out what happened. Obama called Osama and challenged him to a duel. Obama promised to send his highly trained seal water pistol team, but he lied.

I was thinking the exact thing as he walked away from the podium the night of the speech. When I was in high-school playing football I recall our head coaches wife telling the trainers, "Please win tonight, the sex is sooo much better when y'all win." That remark has stuck with me quite a bit for some reason.
Also, this will not end well come election time. Just sayin'.

Picture a roomful of cloistered, indulged and entitled rich people, day and night, entirely isolated by their serfs from any contact with reality.
Not hard, is it? You know them. We gave them wedgies in grade school and they never recovered.
What you're seeing here are their bastard, multiracial offspring. Same difference, though.

"The most important thing is for us to find Osama bin Laden. It is our number one priority and we will not rest until we find him."
- G.W. Bush, 9/13/01
"I want justice...There's an old poster out West, as I recall, that said, 'Wanted: Dead or Alive,'"
- G.W. Bush, 9/17/01, UPI
"...Secondly, he is not escaping us. This is a guy, who, three months ago, was in control of a county [sic]. Now he's maybe in control of a cave. He's on the run. Listen, a while ago I said to the American people, our objective is more than bin Laden. But one of the things for certain is we're going to get him running and keep him running, and bring him to justice. And that's what's happening. He's on the run, if he's running at all. So we don't know whether he's in cave with the door shut, or a cave with the door open -- we just don't know...."
- Bush, in remarks in a Press Availablity with the Press Travel Pool,
The Prairie Chapel Ranch, Crawford TX, 12/28/01, as reported on
official White House site
"I don't know where bin Laden is. I have no idea and really don't care. It's not that important. It's not our priority."
- G.W. Bush, 3/13/02
"I am truly not that concerned about him."
- G.W. Bush, repsonding to a question about bin Laden's whereabouts,
